1970
Spring Lake Village I
The creation of Spring Lake began with Village I, witnessed in Highlands County Official Records October 15, 1970.
Developer, Coral Ridge Properties.
The first building permit in Spring Lake was issued in 1972 and throughout the 70's the community developed.
1971
Spring Lake Property Association
The Association was renamed from Spring Lake Homeowners Association to Spring Lake Property Association, Inc. in 1971. The purpose of the Association is to enforce the Deed of Restrictions for each village.
1980
Spring Lake Golf Course

Despite the unique headaches involved, the construction steadily progressed to its completion, and on July 28, 1980, the 18-hole championship layout was opened for play.
2017
Spring Lake Eco Park
​
Eco Park Opens!
Shelters, picnic tables, grills, and benches have been installed. The walking and biking trail is 1.47 miles and attracting many residents and guests.

2020
Spring Lake Golf Resort to International Golf Resort
Signature H Property Group, which purchased the Spring Lake Golf Resort in November 2019, announced they are rebranding the resort to 'Sebring International Golf Resort'.

Spring Lake Village II and Village III
Spring Lake's planners created Village II witnessed in Highlands County February 3, 1971 and Village III on April 7, 1971. Both later developed by Coral Ridge Properties as the New Westinghouse Community.
1972
Spring Lake Village IV, Village V, and Village VI
Spring Lake Village IV, witnessed in Highlands County January 2, 1972.
Village V and VI, witnessed October 12, 1972.
Also developed by Coral Ridge Properties.
2007
Pine Breeze Park Playground Additions
Park, a big hit with residents!
New playground added to Pine Breeze Park in December of 2007.
2019
Spring Lake Bark Park Grand Opening
In 2019, Spring Lake was proud to offer the best for their four-legged residents. The Bark Park is a great place to have some fun and make new friends, 2 or 4 legged!
